Dr. Elijah Nicholas
Advisor for Equity-Centered Programs
Dr. Elijah Nicholas (He/Him) serves as the Advisor for Equity-Centered Programs at Inclusive Recovery Athens, where he applies his expertise in transgender awareness, inclusion, and conscious-driven leadership to shape programs that foster equity and inclusion. A retired senior military officer and a Harvard Divinity School graduate, Dr. Nicholas brings a wealth of experience to the role, having provided thought leadership and training to major corporations such as Amazon, SHRM, and Fanatics, as well as municipalities and universities, including the City of Oshkosh and Antioch University.
In addition to his advisory role, Dr. Nicholas is the President and CEO of The Global Trans Equity Project (GTEP), an organization dedicated to advancing trans equity on a global scale. His work has been featured in Forbes Magazine, and he is frequently called upon as an expert on transgender awareness and inclusion by prominent news outlets, including ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox News. An accomplished author with 13 publications, Dr. Nicholas continues to drive conversations around inclusion, justice, and equity-centered programming.
Internationally recognized, Dr. Nicholas is committed to advancing Inclusive Recovery Athens’ mission by fostering spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly those in recovery, can access affirming and equitable care. His contributions at Inclusive Recovery Athens champion a vision where dignity, respect, and universal care are the foundation of every initiative.
